Riley is Head of Education at SEIU Healthcare, a union that represents more than 60,000 frontline healthcare workers across Ontario. She has been working with the union for more than eight years in a variety of roles. In this position, Riley helped develop SEIU Healthcare’s Leadership Academy, an education program that focuses on leadership, activism, and building member engagement. Riley completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies from the University of Guelph-Humber and a diploma in Corporate Communications in Public Relations from Humber College in 2009. In 2017, she completed a postgraduate degree from the University of Toronto School in Human Services Management and Leadership. Richman completed her Master’s of Education from OISE University of Toronto with a specialization in Social Justice Education.
