Gina is a proud Filipino/Canadian from Amiskwacîwâskahikan on land referred to as Treaty 6 which is colonially known as Edmonton, Alberta. Currently Gina works at the Alberta Workers’ Health Centre as the Artistic Director / Program Coordinator of the Work Plays Schools Program which has been recognized by CUPE National of 2019 Health and Safety Award as a program with a focus of educating and empowering young people of health and safety in the workplace and their rights as a worker. Gina is always trying to expand the relation space on the venn diagram of Community, Workers’ Rights, Arts Practice, Social Justice, and Basic Life Needs.
