David has been with the RCMP for the past 14 years and is currently a Sergeant as a Community Policing Coordinator and Media Liaison for the Nunavut RCMP. He is originally from Pangnirtung and one of the few Inuit RCMP members in Canada. He has worked in three Provinces and Territories including a period working for the Prime Minister’s Security Detail in Ottawa. David is the president of Embrace Life Council, a NGO created in 2004 to tackle high suicide rates in Nunavut. His interests are hunting, fishing and camping and he is working on passing his knowledge to his two young boys.
