Mishael is a strong advocate for education with a Bachelor of Science in Arctic Nursing, and a graduate diploma in Indigenous Administration & Public Policy, focusing on contemporary Nunavut. Mishael’s interest in public health administration has led her to support health protection initiatives such as Tuberculosis and COVID-19, which has most recently pivoted her career towards research, focused on policy in Nunavut. She is currently the Manager of Research for the Qikiqtaaluk Inuit Association. Mishael was born and raised in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut and currently resides in Iqaluit with her family. Mishael enjoys sewing outdoor and winter clothing for her friends and family, and has previously been selected in “Project Atigi” in collaboration with Canada Goose.
