James is passionate about the development of thriving communities and leadership. He comes from an impressive military background as both a naval and special forces officer, where he served along our coastline and abroad, including Afghanistan. Having left the military 5 years ago, he now professionally supports organizations in their leadership development as a consultant. He is also an active community advocate on matters involving urban development, the environment, and the arts. He has made the west coast his home and considers himself lucky enough to be married to an amazing woman while working together in raising energetic children.
