National Health and Safety Representative, Canadian Union of Public Employees

Andréane Chénier is a CUPE National Health and Safety Representative who supports members in addressing complex health and safety challenges across public sector workplaces. Her work is rooted in a trade union commitment to protecting workers’ rights to safe, respectful, and healthy work, with a strong focus on psychological health and safety, conflict resolution, and the prevention of work-related violence and harassment. She works closely with provincial and national occupational health and safety partners and contributes as a consultant and facilitator in conferences, workshops, and workplaces. Based in Northern Ontario, Andréane is a wife and mother of two, a Grand Nord school board trustee, hobby farmer, beekeeper, and devoted guardian of Nishiime, her German Shepherd.
