Amy de Bree has navigated high performance sport as both a professional hockey player and, more recently, as a coach and doctoral researcher. She believes curious, compassionate leadership enables individuals and teams to thrive. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Social Sciences, Amy studies how leaders shape athletes’ everyday experiences and applies these insights in practice to foster cultures where performance and well being coexist. Through initiatives such as Athlete Transitions, the Women in Sport Speaker Series, and the Coaches Network, she works to reduce barriers, support athletes through career and identity transitions, and build communities of belonging. Outside of sport, Amy enjoys exercising, reading, spending time at the beach, and drag racing with her family.
