Alyssa Lefaivre Škopac has followed a decidedly non linear career path and has found her professional home in artificial intelligence as a translator across topics, expertise, and interests. She is deeply curious about how complex systems function and the incentives that shape them. Alyssa leads a research team at Amii focused on the safety of frontier AI systems for the Canadian AI Safety Institute, while also building trust and safety literacy to support confident AI adoption in Canada and globally. Outside of work, she serves on community boards and is an avid supporter of the arts, drawn to spaces that celebrate human creativity and talent.
