Dr. Alex Kmet is a Métis physician practising as a palliative care specialist and GP oncologist in Whitehorse, Yukon. Until recently, he also provided anesthesia services in the operating room which included working with Médecins Sans Frontières in both Central African Republic and Iraq. He is a volunteer board member for both Hospice Yukon Society, a non-profit supporting Yukoners through grief and end-of-life, and the Yukon Hospital Foundation. Dr. Kmet is a recent Past-President of the Yukon Medical Association and is currently Chief of Medical Staff for Yukon Hospitals.
