Florentina works for Fraser Health Authority as a Community Health Worker and Recreation Assistant at Peace Portal Seniors Village. She is a BCGEU member since 2001 and started her activism when she needed help and learned the power of the Union. Florentina took training and became a steward, where she held numerous positions in the BC Government and Service Employees’ Union. She is the 1st Vice Chair of local 803, Cross Component Recording Secretary, Component 8 executive member and Bargaining Committee member. Her passion is to advocate for Community Health worker’s rights and quality senior care.
