Holly works as a Communications Officer for the Nova Scotia Government & General Employees Union (NSGEU) and is the appointed Communicator for her own staff local, IAMAW Local Lodge 2797. Before joining staff at the union, Holly worked as a journalist in Nova Scotia, Manitoba and British Columbia, covering everything from hard news to arts and entertainment, including the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler. She graduated from the University of King’s College with a combined honours degree in Journalism and International Development Studies, and has a keen interest in world events, politics, visual and performing arts, and workers’ rights. Holly has a young daughter and rescue dog, and in her free time, enjoys hot yoga, cooking, reading, travel, and photography.
