Laurie is the National Representative for Anti-Racism and Human Rights at the Canadian Labour Congress. As she brings awareness and understanding to anti-racism, she develops fair practices and strategies for racial equality. As a former union member with the Teamsters, Laurie has taken action to protect the rights of workers and promote fairness in the workplace locally and internationally. She knows every problem has a solution and her openness allows her to see each problem through to a creative result. Laurie promotes positivity and finds her inspiration in diversity. Her innovative spirit and passion for justice guide her in creating real social change.
