Tristan Newby, RN, BSN (he/him) is a Registered Nurse specializing in emergency care, with areas of practice that include emergency, public health, mental health, and site leadership. He serves as Vice President of the BC Nurses’ Union, where he is Provincial Lobby Coordinator, Chair of the Human Rights and Equity Committee, and a member of the Minimum Nurse‑to‑Patient Ratio Executive and Planning Committee. Nationally, Tristan sits on the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions National Executive Board as Constitution Committee Chair, serves as Secretary of the Canadian Health Coalition, and is a member of the Canadian Labour Congress Human Rights Advisory Committee. Outside of work, he enjoys alpine and cross‑country skiing, swimming, archery, hiking, reading, and gaming.
