Sara McPhee-Knowles is an Associate Professor in the School of Business and Leadership at Yukon University, and she has past experience in policy development with the Yukon government. In 2024, she chaired the Yukon Citizens’ Assembly on Electoral Reform, sparking her interest in deliberative democracy. Sara’s professional interests focus on policy challenges and data gaps in the Yukon context, including food security, impact assessment and gender-based violence. She is a member of the Federation for Innovation in Democracy’s advisory group and the Food Bank Society of the Yukon’s board of directors. Sara enjoys time spent tap dancing, zipping around on her eBike, and camping with her family.
