Mark Garcia serves as Advocacy and Government Relations Coordinator for the Canadian Teachers’ Federation. Mark is passionate about advancing the democratic and labour rights of Canadians and has built a career advocating for unions, the working class, and public services. He’s held advocacy roles with the United Steelworkers, the Assembly of First Nations, and the New Democratic Party. He has a master’s degree in international relations and has held roles with the Japanese Consulate and has also previously served as a delegate for the Young Diplomats of Canada. Mark is proudly the child of immigrants and a proud Hamiltonian.
