Kari Davenport is a northern Indigenous community leader working at the intersection of education, workforce development, and public service. Her professional focus is on building practical training pathways that lead directly to jobs, leadership, and long-term community resilience in the North. Kari is especially focused on how education systems, public institutions, and industry can collaborate to better serve northern and Indigenous communities. Some achievements include helping grow a Transport Canada–recognized marine training centre in the Northwest Territories. Kari leads complex funding and infrastructure projects, contributing to research ethics governance and advancing programs that keep skills, opportunity, and decision-making power in the North.”
