Kaila is a social worker by training and a systems leader by practice, committed to equitable wellbeing, thriving communities, and practical results. A northerner by choice, she has delivered mental wellness services in isolated communities, stewarded essential social services through the COVID, housing and substance use crises, partnered with First Nations on regional land and resource planning, and aligned governments and industry behind critical infrastructure investments. Kaila enjoys empowering people and turning complex challenges into clear, community centered action. Outside of work, she loves to be learning through reading, connecting with people and traveling or outside celebrating the incredible North.
