Julie Simone Hébert developed her commitment to partnership building and sustainable land use planning during her academic studies in forestry and her early professional years, which coincided with the signing of the Agreement on a New Relationship between the Government of Québec and the Cree Nation. She played an active role in establishing new partnerships and land use planning initiatives with diverse stakeholders in northern Québec. This commitment continues to shape her work today, blending her personal and professional interests in strengthening management capacity and deepening knowledge of northern environments, with the goal of fostering socially acceptable, sustainable investments that support governance rooted in prosperity and pride.
