Elliott has very much enjoyed representing his peers in the areas they were misunderstood and underrepresented for the betterment of their working conditions. This has brought him from the Fire Station coffee table to the Boardroom table – a place he never imagined he’d be. Along the way, he has been successful in leading his peers, negotiated safer staffing levels in his community and received the Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition. Being involved in organized labour has brought Elliott many rich experiences and opportunities, all of which pale in comparison to being a husband and father.
