Erin Koenig is a Canadian diplomat with over two decades of experience advancing foreign, development, and security policy in Latin America, Europe, and Africa. She is currently posted to the Embassy of Canada in Berlin, where she contributes to strengthening Canada’s strategic partnership with Germany. Her career spans senior positions at Global Affairs Canada and the Privy Council Office, overseas assignments in Ethiopia and Peru, work with sub national and territorial governments, and earlier roles with the United Nations and the Inter American Institute of Human Rights. A 2025–26 Aga Khan Global Leader, Erin is recognized for strategic, inclusive leadership, impactful Indigenous engagement initiatives, commitment to mentorship, and her service as Chair of Women in International Security Canada.
