Co-founder, Program Director, Get on the Bus Driven by Small Change Fund

Dan Hendry is a sustainability and community building leader focused on youth mobility, climate action, and systems change. He helped pioneer a simple and effective model in Kingston, Ontario that combined youth transit training with free transit passes, increasing annual high school ridership from 28,000 to nearly 600,000 trips. This work has since scaled nationally through Get on the Bus, supporting communities across Canada to improve access, independence, and long term transit use. Dan’s work has been featured by Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project, and he has delivered a TEDx Talk highlighting transit as a catalyst for equity, confidence, and climate solutions.
