Diplômée d’un baccalauréat en gestion de HEC Montréal, Cassandra Exumé a quitté le monde des affaires pour se consacrer à l’activisme communautaire. Depuis plus de cinq ans, elle chapeaute Hoodstock, un organisme engagé dans la lutte contre les inégalités systémiques, récipiendaire du prix Jack Layton (2021) et du prix Richard Cloward & Frances Fox Piven (2022). À travers le podcast Black Inc, elle a animé des conversations percutantes sur l’impact du vote noir en politique municipale et les enjeux de justice sociale, notamment à la suite de la mort de George Floyd. Sélectionnée parmi les 20 femmes du Réseau des Jeunes Femmes Leaders (2022), elle œuvre pour la pleine participation des communautés noires.

With a bachelor’s degree in management from HEC Montréal, Cassandra Exumé left the business world to devote herself to community activism. For more than five years, she has led Hoodstock, an organization committed to fighting systemic inequalities and the recipient of the Jack Layton Award (2021) and the Richard Cloward & Frances Fox Piven Award (2022). Through the Black Inc. podcast, she has hosted impactful conversations on the impact of the Black vote in municipal politics and social justice issues, particularly in the wake of George Floyd’s death. Selected as one of the 20 women of the Young Women Leaders Network (2022), she works to ensure the full participation of Black communities.
