Mitigation Manager, First Nation Emergency Services Society (FNESS)

Amanda Reynolds is a senior wildfire mitigation and community resiliency leader with over eight years of experience designing and scaling FireSmart and wildfire prevention programs across British Columbia. She is deeply interested in culturally grounded, community‑led approaches that strengthen safety, capacity, and long‑term resilience, particularly in partnership with Indigenous communities. Amanda currently provides strategic leadership for provincially and federally funded mitigation programs, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and large‑scale budgets. She is the 2025 recipient of the Lynn Orstad Award and was nominated for a 2023 Premier’s Award for wildfire prevention leadership. Outside of work, she values time with her wife and two young children and enjoys mountain biking, cross‑country skiing, travelling, and cooking.
