Ailsa Craig is committed to building inclusive, sustainable structures and communities that support wellbeing and thriving. A professor of Sociology and 2SLGBTQAI+ community leader, Dr. Craig has held a range of leadership roles at Memorial University in Newfoundland and Labrador. Dr. Craig is also co-founder and co-chair of the first 2SLGBTQAI+ community centre in Newfoundland and Labrador (Quadrangle), and a 2016 recipient of the President’s Award for Outstanding Teaching (Faculty). A Fulbright alum, mother to two young men, and graduate of New York University in the United States and York University in Toronto, Dr. Craig enjoys yoga, hiking, and cooking.

Ailsa Craig, Ph. D., bâtit des structures durables et inclusives qui favorisent l’épanouissement de sa communauté. Membre du corps professoral au département de sociologie et leader 2ELGBTQIA+ à la Memorial (Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador), Ailsa Craig y a aussi occupé plusieurs postes de direction, en plus d’avoir cofondé et de codiriger Quadrangle, le premier centre pour la communauté 2ELGBTQIA+ de la province. En 2016, on lui a remis le Prix du rectorat pour l’excellence dans l’enseignement. Titulaire de diplômes de l’Université de New York et de l’Université York à Toronto, Ailsa Craig a également pris part au programme Fulbright. Parent de deux jeunes hommes, Ailsa Craig aime la cuisine, le yoga et la randonnée.
