Barbara Stymiest is Chief Operating Officer of RBC Financial Group where she is responsible for directing enterprise strategy, as well as all corporate functions including risk management, finance and treasury.

Prior to joining RBC, Ms. Stymiest was Chief Executive Officer of TSX Group, where she oversaw operations and led the long-term strategic development of both the senior capital market - Toronto Stock Exchange and the junior capital market - TSX Venture Exchange. Prior to the TSX, Ms. Stymiest was Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer for Bank of Montreal's investment banking division.

Ms. Stymiest has dedicated time to a number of professional and charitable organizations including the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute Foundation, Hincks-Dellcrest Children's Centre and the United Way Campaign Cabinet.

Barbara Stymiest obtained her degree in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
