His career path at CPR has taken him across Canada from the Maritimes to the Pacific Coast and to senior management positions in railway operations, marketing and yield and asset performance. After an eight-year progression through Intermodal, he became General Manager, Canadian Atlantic Railway and then General Manager, Operations for the Prairies. In 1993, he moved to Toronto to become Vice President responsible for Operations, as well as several Marketing groups. After managing CPR's 1996 re-organization, Mr. Green transferred to Calgary and held several Vice President positions including Merchandise, Marketing and Yield and Asset Performance. In 2002, he became Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales and then Executive Vice President Operations and Marketing. In 2004 he was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and then President and Chief Operating Officer of CPR. On May 5, 2006, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Green has served on the board of directors of TTX Company and the Railway Association of Canada. Outside the rail industry, Mr. Green has been involved with numerous organizations, including sitting on the board of the Mount Royal College Foundation, Calgary. |
