Throughout his career, Mr. Godin has remained very involved in various endeavors that further the economic development of Montreal, Quebec and Canada. He has been president of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal and has received a special distinction from the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi in appreciation of his lifetime professional and business achievements as well as his personal involvement in social issues. Mr. Godin has been awarded honorary degrees Concordia University and Université Laval. He sits on the University of Waterloo’s board of governors. Mr. Godin participates in many charitable and community organizations. |

In 1976, at the age of 26, Serge Godin founded a two-person computer consulting and management company in Quebec City: CGI. Under Mr. Godin’s leadership, CGI has grown to be among the largest independent information technology and business process services firms in North America, employing 25,000 professionals. Mr. Godin is now Executive Chairman of the Board.
