Haley, Winter

Winter is a member of the Deninue Kue First Nation and was born and raised in Hay River. Winter served her community for nine years working with the Government of the Northwest Territories within the Department of Justice before joining Diavik Diamond Mines in 2008. At Diavik, she has developed her knowledge of mining in security and business improvement roles and is currently a Communities and External Relations Advisor. This work allows her to liaise with local Aboriginal communities, implement and monitor agreements and lead philanthropic initiatives. She is a mentor for employees in leadership development programs. Winter lives in Yellowknife and enjoys sports, travelling and the outdoors with her spouse and two children.
